On September 23, 2022, the Asian American Scholar Forum (AASF) released a report entitled, “Caught in the Crossfire: Fears of Chinese-American Scientists,” showing a growing number of Chinese-descent scientists have left or are considering leaving the U.S. to take positions in foreign countries and are avoiding federal grant applications. This is due to fears and an unwelcoming environment in the U.S. The Wall Street Journal and other prominent media reported on the study, highlighting widespread fear among the Chinese American and immigrant community and the risk of losing talent in the U.S. In this webinar, the researchers who conducted the study will present their findings and we will hear from prominent speakers on the implications of these findings. Congresswoman Judy Chu will provide a keynote.
