WASHINGTON, D.C. – Over the weekend, the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, a $430 billion landmark bill without any anti-immigration or discriminatory amendments that would be harmful to immigrants, including Asian American and Asian immigrant communities.

Asian American Scholar Forum issues the following statement:

“Asian American Scholar Forum applauds the historic passage of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. We commend Senators who voted against harmful amendments and the many advocates and directly impacted persons across the country who worked to prevent any anti-immigration or discriminatory amendments, which would have harmed Asian American and immigrant communities. We urge the U.S. House of Representatives to follow suit and pass a clean bill.”
